Pedro is a towering 14-meter wooden sculpture inspired by the majestic form of the saguaro cactus. A fusion of art and engineering, this monumental piece embodies both creativity and structural mastery.

The name Pedro is derived from San Pedro, a sacred cactus species known for its healing properties. The Cactus soft core wrapped in a shell of protective thorns is often unnoticed. These thorns may have once served a purpose, but perhaps they are no longer needed. They may now stand as barriers, preventing us from feeling deeply or connecting with others.

Through the experience of observing the sculpture and wandering through the "Thorn Altar," we invite participants to shed the thorns they no longer need. The essence of this piece encourages transformation—small changes that can ripple into greater realities.

Pedro serves as a reminder that we have grown, evolved, and broadened our shoulders to embrace and support those different from us—a crucial call in today’s fractured reality.
